…And it’s now available to pre-order on Amazon at the buy now price of 99p!
I have long wanted to set a Loveday Mystery in Scotland, and that’s where this story starts, but the murder investigation soon follows everyone back to Cornwall.
Here’s the blurb –
A man’s body is pulled from the river in Inverness as the cathedral bells ring in a new year.
The last thing Loveday and Sam want is for a murder to spoil their holiday in Scotland. But fate takes a hand. The man is Cornish, and events pursue them back to Cornwall where a major search is already taking place to find a prominent missing businessman.
When Sam realises the two could be connected he and Loveday are plunged into a mystery that grows more complicated by the hour.
And when suspicion grows over a previous death, initially thought to have been an accident, the challenge increases.
And here are some of the sights Loveday and Sam saw in Scotland. The wild dolphins of the Black Isle that feature at the start of the story.
The photo below is Eilean Donan Castle, Kyle of Lochalsh. And the whisky in the picture above? Come on now, do I really need to explain that? It’s Scotland! It’s Hogmanay! Enough said…
And lastly, a touch of nostalgia – the derelict old croft house that sadly can be found all over the Scottish Highlands.
A Cornish Ransom is 80 per cent set in Cornwall, but photos are a little indulgence in celebration of Loveday’s Scottish half.
You can book your copy of the book at the special per-order price of 99p.
